In July we brought home our two kitties, Twilight Sparkle and Samsquanch. Their mother was our landlord’s cat, Charlie, and she’s had another litter of kitties. I did explain to my landlord that cats can get pregnant again immediately after the birth of a litter, but unfortunately by the time he took her in to get spayed she was pregnant again. Since they’re doing renovation and it’s hard for them to keep the cats indoors (they have another, that was also from one of Charlie’s litters) I brought Charlie to live in our house to give birth and stay until she could get spayed. She had four kittens, three tabbies and a black one, but two of the tabbies didn’t make it. She also rejected her two remaining kitties, so for the last week I’ve been formula feeding them with a wee little kitten bottle and keeping them all warm and bundled up in a basket with a heating pad and towel. They’re doing well, and I’m hoping in the next few days they’ll start opening their eyes.
